F4 Middle East : les victoires s’enchaînent pour R-ace GP Alex Powell Emanuele Olivieri

8 and 9 February 2025, Dubai – R-ace GP achieved its best weekend since the start of the F4 Middle East Championship thanks to the excellent performances of Alex Powell and Emanuele Olivieri: double pole position, three wins out of three races and two podium places!

On Saturday morning, Emanuele Olivieri (#68) topped the first qualifying session with a time of 2:01.470, followed two hundredths later by team-mate Alex Powell (#41). In qualifying 2, the roles were reversed and Powell was fastest ahead of his Italian team-mate, with a time of 2:00.701.

Race 1

Starting from pole position, Emanuele Olivieri dominated his rivals right up to the chequered flag. Oleksandr Savinkov (#52) was 7th and Alex Powell 9th. Emily Cotty (#42) finished the race in 21st position.

Race 2

On Sunday, Alex Powell started from second place on the reverse grid system. A daring overtake on the outside allowed him to take the lead of the race, which he eventually won. Emanuele Olivieri also delivered a fine performance, climbing from 10th to second place on the podium. The same went for Oleksandr Savinkov and Emily Cotty, who finished 6th and 12th respectively, showing excellent progress.

Race 3

While leading the final race of the weekend, Alex Powell lost his advantage a few minutes before the finish. The Jamaican began a relentless battle to overtake his rival. At the end of a breathtaking last lap, his daring driving and determination enabled him to win with panache. Emanuele Olivieri brought R-ace GP another podium finish in third place, while Emily Cotty finished 20th. Oleksandr Savinkov was forced to retire at the start of the race after being taken out by an opponent. 

R-ace GP continues to lead the drivers‘ and teams’ standings.

Round 4 of the F4 Middle East Championship will take place on 15 and 16 February in Abu Dhabi.
